International Wills & Probate

Our team of International Solicitors are specialists when drafting Wills, trust set ups and providing estate planning advice.

With the implications of Brexit, there is increasingly an international element to arranging your affairs.

Our international solicitors advise on matters such as:

  • International jurisdictions, how to dispose of your worldwide assets (whether in an English or – perhaps preferably – in a local Will) and drafting English Wills for overseas clients, for example to dispose of Land in England
  • The technicalities, pros and cons of overseas trusts, including choice of Trustees, domicile and tax consequences; tax reporting obligations for non-resident Trustees holding UK Land
  • Collecting in foreign assets (for example having obtained a Medallion Signature Guarantee) or re-sealing overseas Grants of Probate in the UK

Wills, Trusts & Private Wealth Services

Importantly, we also know the limits of our own legal jurisdiction. However, as a recommended partner of the international referral group (IR Group), we have access to a major global alliance and one of the largest exclusive networks of advisory firms in the world, offering access to legal and other advisory services in more than 130 jurisdictions.

As a full service firm, we can also provide support in related legal disciplines, whether that be serving contentious proceedings overseas, assistance with Company/Commercial or Property issues.
